The growing adventure tourism market is worth £75 million a year to north east Scotland. Opportunity North East (ONE), Scottish Enterprise and Aberdeenshire Council are co-funding the North East Adventure Tourism project to secure a more significant share of this high-value UK market in the region over the next five to 10 years with support from VisitAberdeenshire. The support for the new mountain biking festival is part of the drive to grow the region’s share of the £90 million Scottish mountain biking and cycling market.
