ONE is launching The EnergyTech Bridge Programme delivered in partnership with Barclays Eagle Labs and CodeBase which will focus on the transition to green energy.
The programme brings together a cohort of ambitious innovators; digital tech startups, small scaleups and established energy businesses focused on accelerating the transition to green energy through digital tech innovation.
EnergyTech has evolved, which ONE and partners successfully ran for two years with 15 digital tech businesses from north east Scotland. The programme has been updated for 2024 to align more closely with the global shift to net zero and the opportunity that clean and green energy presents.
This decade is crucial for climate action, requiring radical change and disruptive digital innovation. Growth in this area has the potential to gain a competitive advantage in fast growing global market. In the north east, we have the opportunity to leverage decades of expertise in offshore energy production to position north east Scotland at the forefront of Scotland’s Just Transition to net zero.
Technology especially within the digital tech sector, is showing promising signs of driving this change, with a focus on green energy, primarily offshore wind, and climate tech as preferred routes to scale and new market opportunities.
Who is EnergyTech for?
The programme is specifically focused on convening a cohort of ambitious innovators from digital tech startups and small scaleups from the north east of Scotland who:
- Are developing new innovative products and solutions that will support the energy transition
- Have digital tech products and solutions that could enable or accelerate net zero
- Are focused on delivering at scale and at pace
- Are interesting in pursuing new business opportunities and areas for innovation in energy transition and net zero
ONE is also keen to hear from established energy businesses who have or are developing expertise in green and clean energy or actively seeking solutions to support the transition from fossil-based systems of energy production and consumption to renewable energy sources such as off-shore wind, hydrogen etc.
What is EnergyTech?
The EnergyTech Bridge Programme equips leaders with the tools, insight and mindset required to drive a culture of innovation and technology adoption to accelerate digital transformation.
It is a strategic leadership programme that drives change through education and collaboration, uniquely bringing together energy companies and digital tech businesses for shared learning and development.
Through interactive monthly meetups led by experts from both inside and outside the sector, participants gain exposure to the technology playbooks deployed in hyper-growth tech companies.
Offering radical approaches to delivering products and value compared to the energy sector’s traditional methods.
Participants also build new networks as part of the digital tech community - connecting leaders, startup and scaleup founders, investors and tech experts.
