Businesses of all sizes have had to adapt to major market and customer changes at an accelerated pace in recent months.
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted businesses across the food and drink sector, disrupting operations, supply chains, markets and customers in the UK and internationally. You are invited to join a webinar that will provide the latest consumer and market insights to help you reset your business to the new market realities and plan effectively for the future.
In this second session we will look at the lessons that can be learned from other countries and markets, including China, as well as how the UK consumer has changed their behaviour.
The webinar is designed to help business owners, leaders and managers think about the fundamental changes to their markets, products and operations to allow them to assess what must be done to be ready and resilient for the future as the industry prepares for economic recovery.
Lesley Ann Gray, Strategic Insight Director Scotland, Kantar
Lesley will cover the emerging UK retail market and consumer trends. Using insight from Kantar’s Purchase, Consumption and Nutrition panels, she will look at how we have changed our behaviour during COVID-19.
Linda Liao, SDI Food & Drink In-Market Specialist (Shanghai)
Linda has been leading on food and drink for SDI in the East China region for the last 9 years and will share an insight to how COVID-19 has affected the market, what has been learned from this and how businesses have had to adapt to these huge changes.
James Buchan, Managing Director of Dundee-based digital agency Zudu
James will provide an outlook on the current situation in China, how Chinese organisations have adapted their digital strategies through the pandemic and demonstrate why this market is a burgeoning opportunity for UK companies. He will also provide practical guidance to companies on how to reach Chinese consumers through effective digital and ecommerce strategies.
The session will end with a Q&A with the speakers.
