This year’s RHASS President, former ONE Vice Chair Pat Machray OBE, is from Aberdeenshire so the 2026 Royal Highland Show was the ideal stage to showcase the innovation, ambition and entrepreneurial talent driving north east Scotland's food, drink, agriculture and tourism sectors to a national audience.
Located at the heart of Scotland's Larder, the ONE SeedPod stand introduced visitors from across Scotland and beyond to Scotland's food and drink innovation hub while highlighting the achievements of businesses recognised through the 2026 North East Scotland Food & Drink Awards.
As Scotland's food and drink innovation hub, ONE SeedPod brings together ambitious food and drink founders and leaders to innovate, grow and scale their businesses. Through food-safe manufacturing facilities, new product development kitchens, technical support and a collaborative entrepreneurial community, it helps businesses accelerate growth and bring new products to market faster.
Throughout the four-day event, visitors met award-winning producers from across the north east and learned more about the products, ideas and commercial ambition strengthening one of Scotland's most important sectors.
The stand showcased the winners of the 2026 North East Scotland Food & Drink Awards, highlighting businesses driving innovation, sustainability and growth across the region. Winners received their trophies from RHASS President Pat Machray OBE and the Provost of Aberdeenshire Judy Whyte, alongside ONE CEO Jennifer Craw MBE, ONE Vice Chair Stanley Morrice MBE and ONE SeedPod Chair David Kilshaw OBE.
Political leaders, ministers, MSPs, MPs and industry stakeholders visited the stand throughout the week, creating opportunities to discuss sector growth, innovation and the future of Scotland's food and drink industry.
The Royal Highland Show was also a fantastic opportunity to showcase the North East Adventure Tourism (NEAT) project. Visitors discovered more about the region's growing adventure tourism offer, including cycling, walking, water-based activities and outdoor experiences that attract visitors, support local businesses and generate economic value across the north east. Younger visitors also got a chance to try out mountain biking with the Ride In Peace pump track!
The Royal Highland Show created opportunities to build new relationships, strengthen existing partnerships and raise awareness of the opportunities available across north east Scotland.
