Making informed funding and investment choices are vital to growing a business. This practical and interactive event will explore how to assess your investment needs, some of the funding routes available beyond grants and loans, and how to manage the process to achieve a successful outcome.
Whether you are considering starting a new business, preparing to invest in new equipment or scaling up to service a recent contract win, this session will give you practical insights on securing investment for growth.
It will include tips on preparing to meet an investor, create awareness of the finance options, provide an opportunity to interact with members of the food and drink investor community, and allow you to hear from businesses about their experiences of investment cycles.
Agenda and Speakers
Gillian Fleming, co-founder and managing director of women-led business angel investment club Mint Ventures, will cover investor expectations, investment options and how to approach the investment journey.
Two local businesses will share their experiences of setting up and running a crowdfunding campaign and share insights from their investment journeys.
Delegates will get an overview of the advice and funding solutions banks can provide to establish, grow, or expand your business. Mary Jane Brouwers, ONE Enterprise Fund Manager, will give an overview of the private sector loan fund.
The speakers will share expertise on equity and debt finance to help you identify appropriate options for your business and will be on hand to answer your questions. Other organisations offering business support, finance and funding will attend to provide further information on their services.
