The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) sets out requirements for how organisations will need to handle personal data. This new data privacy law comes into effect in the UK on 25 May 2018. This won’t change the way we at Opportunity North East use your personal data, but we will be publishing a new privacy notice to make it easier for you to find out how we use and protect your data. This new privacy notice will provide you with additional details such as:
- Your increased rights in relation to the data we hold about you
- How we keep your personal data secure and for how long
- The types of personal data we collect about you and how we use it
- The legal grounds for how we use your data
Over the coming weeks, we’ll update our privacy notice when further changes come into effect, so please check back here. If you have any further questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Our website uses three cookies. A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that we put on your computer if you agree.
These cookies allow us to distinguish you from other users of the website which helps us to provide you with a good experience when you browse our website and also allows us to improve our site.
The cookies we use are ‘analytical’ cookies and help us to understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting and reporting information anonymously. They allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around the site when they’re using it.
This helps us to improve the way our website works, for example by making sure users are finding what they need easily. Read more about the individual analytical cookies we use and how to recognise them here.
