28 June 2018, 10.00am to 3.30pm, The Chester Hotel, Aberdeen
This workshop will bring together relevant expertise from the oil and gas and water (utilities) industries to examine pipeline challenges and innovation opportunities with a focus on technology for pipelines, asset integrity management, inspection and maintenance.
It will explore current technical issues within the water industry and crossover with oil and gas, including leakage, to identify innovation needs, foster technology transfer and share best practice with the aim of facilitating new commercial diversification opportunities for companies in both industries.
The workshop will include presentations by operating companies, contractors and the supply chain from the water and oil and gas industries along with opportunities for networking and one-to-one engagement.
Oil and gas SMEs will also be able to explore support available for sector diversification from private sector economic development company Opportunity North east (ONE) and Scottish Enterprise (SE).
You must register to attend this free event.
ONE and SE are working in partnership to jointly support Scottish oil and gas supply chain SMEs access new decommissioning business and explore diversification into new market sectors. New markets provide additional opportunities for existing oil and gas skills, products and services and support the supply chain’s central role in the energy transition.
The pipeline workshop is one in a series of sector-specific diversification opportunities that match oil and gas supply chain companies to specific commercial opportunities, while addressing the technical challenges and offering case studies. Future workshops will focus on opportunities in offshore wind, nuclear decommissioning, offshore wind and the wider utilities market.
