North East Scotland Food & Drink Network Event – A Taste of the ‘Legends of the Garioch Experience’
Wednesday 13 June 2018
5.45pm for 6pm
Glen Garioch Distillery, Distillery Rd, Oldmeldrum, Inverurie AB51 0ES
The Legends of the Garioch experience is a celebration of Aberdeenshire’s larder and the story it plays within over 220 years of heritage at Glen Garioch. The experience delves into the history of the brand and the distillery’s Oldmeldrum home, exploring the story of Legends past and present. Launched in October 2017, the experience incorporates delicacies and traditions showcasing many quality producers from the region. This experience concludes with a sensory adventure of flavour with a specially designed regional whisky pairing menu specially prepared by the kitchen team at Meldrum House, Country Hotel and Golf Club. This experience won the 2018 North East Scotland Food & Drink Award for the Best Food & Drink Tourism Experience.
This North East Scotland Food & Drink Network Event offers a best practice visit to the award-winning food and drink tourism experience and an opportunity to enjoy a taster of the ‘Legends of the Garioch’.
Leading cluster ambition and development with food and drink network activity, developing food tourism projects to match in-region visitor experience with quality of produce and provenance and developing high profile food tourism events are priority actions for ONE as we seek to grow the region’s food, drink and agriculture sector.
