North East Scotland Food & Drink Network Event – Showcasing Regional Scotland Explained

Research shows that demand for local food and drink is growing. Small and medium sized food and drink producers looking to grow their business can access free support and advice by attending Scotland Food & Drink’s Showcasing Regional Scotland programme, taking place across Scotland in 2018/19.

The next North East Scotland Food & Drink Network Event will share some of the research and explain how the Showcasing Regional Scotland programme is going to help you make the most of the local and regional selling opportunities there are for your business.

Ceri Ritchie and Kerry Allison, Connect Local will provide an overview of the research findings and where the opportunities lie for local and regional business growth, give an overview of programme and will then hold compact ‘Building the Brand’ and Selling for Success’ workshops, which will include:

  • USP and elevator pitch
  • Brand development and values
  • Marketing strategy and social media
  • Effective merchandising and display techniques
  • Selling and presentation skills

Delegates will also hear details on all the available support associated with the programme.

On this occasion, this event is open to small and medium sized food and drink producers only, who are looking to drive growth in their business, who are based in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray.

About Showcasing Regional Scotland

The Showcasing Regional Scotland programme includes a series of three workshops delivered by the team of food and drink experts from Connect Local.

The topics include ‘building the brand’, ‘supply savvy’ and ‘selling for success’ and will cover branding and marketing; supply chain and sales support for those looking to develop their commercial capabilities.

The workshops can be attended individually or as a series and provide the opportunity for businesses, who then go on to attend the Showcasing Scotland events, to be in strong position when meeting with potential buyers.

About Showcasing Scotland  

Showcasing Scotland is a business-to-business event and is aimed at small and medium sized food and drink companies and buyers from hotels, restaurants, farm shops, delicatessens and independent retailers.

The one-day event is for food and drink businesses who are looking to grow sales in local and regional markets. The event makes introductions between companies and buyers as easy as possible through the successful ‘speed-dating’ style of event, where one-to-one meetings can be pre-arranged.
